The course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of how satellite imagery can be applied in mineral exploration. By the end of the course, participants will have developed a solid grasp of key remote sensing concepts and data sources relevant to mineral exploration. They will gain hands-on experience in satellite data acquisition, preprocessing, and interpretation using specialized image processing software. Additionally, the course will cover the application of spectral and spatial techniques for lithology and alteration zone mapping, as well as a comparison between classical and AI-powered methods for sustainable exploration.
